I am the most normal freak you are likely to encounter--full of predictable surprises. I am the last living dandy, an effeminate fag, a geeky intellectual who thinks too much, I have an incredibly high threshhold for things that make most people run screaming, I survive on molecularly intense intimacies and transnational nomadic queer partnerships more than I do on food, I have been known to wear an ascot, I can't stop moving or doing or becoming, the thing that makes me most nervous is boredom and sitting still, I often challenge myself to do the things that make me most uncomfortable, I have three homebases and am not sure which satisfies me the most, I am married and single, I have a most elegant femme whippet companion, I am learning swedish for no particular reason, I don't have "a type," I am an extremely dedicated professor and love my job--I love professing, I am playful and sensitive, I hate drama and games, I am always in the mood, I am fluid and variable but at the same time consistenly so, I am an activist but prefer not to attach to groups, I have a biographer, I am someone who is both easy and hard to get to know, I believe I can do anything I set my mind to, I want to die with no regrets, I love animals sometimes more than people, and I hate describing myself. And, as sappy as it sounds, I sincerely feel like I need to do more to make the world a better place for everyone.

My Interests

Nomadism (rhizomatic dwelling), dandyism, electronic dance music, petting my whippet, friends who know the meaning of desire as production, experimenting/experiencing, eating delectible food (NO mammals or onions), intense convos, stunning swedes, italians, finns, french, and, ok, I am apparently developing a taste for the brit charm, indie/foreign films, studying languages, taking pictures, bonding with my computer, looking at art and architecture, mid-century and scandinavian design, and locating the most thirst-quenching vodka martini with a twist

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants a lambretta as much as I do. Anyone who can show me an intensely hot time--for HOURS. Anyone that speaks swedish, french, italian, or spanish. Anyone that vicerally knows the meaning of ecstasy. Any freaky nomadic soul in search of an unattached attachment. Any gorgeously queer soulmate who can rock my world. Any intellectual geek trying to negotiate their homelessness. Anyone who would check the box "it's complicated" but knows that as the simplest status to be. Anyone who is deeply uncomfortable in this world but is comfortable with that. Someone who can teach me something profound that will stay with me until I die. Someone who knows how to be honest even when it's hard. I guess you could say I am in search of that needle in the haystack.
