About Me

Born in Italy on 27th of april 1978. I started playing classic piano when I was 12, and composing when I was 16, inspired by an endless love for the Beatles. Then came the passion for YES and all the british scene of progressive rock, bound together the listening of Dream Theatre: on 2001 I recorded – with other four musicians – “A New Man”, a work made of three long tracks of pure prog-rock, that I entirely composed and arranged. My interest for this genre of music began to flag after this experience, when the study of jazz piano started to become more and more intense, not only with the teachings of the great italian pianist Paolo Birro (Thelonious Jazz School of Vicenza; Jazz class of the Conservatory of Vicenza) and of the composer Andrea Cera (electronic musician; he works with french and italian public televisions), but also listening to musicians like Michel Camilo, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Dave Weckl, Joe Zawinul, Jaco Pastorius, Keith Jarrett, James Taylor (...), and discovering an unconditioned love for the universe of black music (in casual order: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, Ray Charles, Tower Of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, Incognito...). My musical studies went with several years of live peformances with all sort of bands, in clubs, discos, pubs, festivals, playing all types of music (also with great italian musicians Ricky Portera, Maurizio Solieri, Giorgio Zanier, Sergio Pescara). On autumn 2006, with other two musicians and friends (drummer Emanuele "Meme" Giordani and bassist Stefano Dallaporta), I founded the SAFE trio! The music of SAFE is a fusion of jazz (mainly latin-jazz), acid jazz and funky: our repertory is made of covers (Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai above all), with lots of re-arragements, as the latin version of Hendrix’s “Foxy Lady”.

I got my own Free MySpace Layout from Pyzam.com
