My First Broom

About Me

A bit about music…I love music that is so lucid that the sound can be seen as movement, as colours and textures unravelling and smothering everything. I love music that is grand, epic and projecting….equally the humility and Zen-like simplicity of someone with a couple of notes and a poetic melody. For me, listening and playing gives our head a chance take a rest and for consciousness to take over. Worry leaves when the music is really good, and momentarily it may seem as if we are drifting off to some other place, but paradoxically we are moving and merging more and more with what is happening right there. In a way, we are transported somewhere new, back to where we were.Writing allows me to say things I may not have the guts to say or that which I am not aware of yet. Lyrically and instrumentally. It brings me a little closer to home.It blows me away how it can throw you back to a point in time no matter how meaningful the memory. It gives huge amount of fun. The way songs with depth often take longer to appreciate, but once you move into them further they give you more than you could ever have imagined. Its ability to bring thousands of people together to huddle waiting to see artists who have profoundly moved them internally, to then explode externally in some of the most beautiful displays of unity I believe exist......It’s one of the greatest gifts of the world and I am very very grateful!…
