The SF based trio has been rockin the natives since 1994. Comprised of 2 seasoned SF music scene veterans and an up and coming bass player making his mark, the former Bassist for THE WTNESSES, and now THE BULLHEADS Guitarist/Songwriter, Gino Tianero, wanted to bring forward his brand of guitar driven music to the public. Enlisting the help of long time friend Mike Miyanaga(Guitar), they set out to put together a group of musicians that shared their musical interest. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Enter Swenson Carl(Drums), Regina Boyle(Synth) and Nestor Meneses(Bass). Having moderate success playing the SF BAY AREA music circuit, now known as THE BULLHEADS, the buzz about the group spreads. Fast Forward to 1998. As it goes, life and other commitments takes it's toll on some members. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Enter Nelson B Santos, another long time friend of Tianero, Santos, another SF scene vet, was available. Former drummer for PAPA WHEELIE, FASTBLACK, DCTV and THE WEEDS, Santos quickly fell into the BH groove. More shows and recording followed as the group maintained their momentum. Fast Forward to 2001. Mr Meneses leaves the group to pursue business/financial interest half a world away, in The Philippines. cturing the group once again, Miyanaga picks up the Bass to further the bands endeavors. Playing as a 3 piece suited the remaining members as more shows followed and the trio did more recordings. Fast Forward 2 and a half years. Mr Miyanaga leaves the group. "For a little over 8 months, the band was at a stand still. There were just the two of us at one point" says Santos, the second drummer for the band. Gino and I kept the faith and worked on findng a Bass player. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Late 2004, Derek Santos, also a Drummer, who played with ARGUS and YEAR OF THE WILDCAT, plays Bass as a 2nd instrument. When approached by Nelson and Gino to play Bass with THE BULLHEADS, the idea was greeted with an ovewhelming response. It was a shot of fresh blood and a new attitude when he stepped in. Now, we are business as usual, didn't miss a step! The Bullheads are a streamlined Performance Machine. They are bringing their kicked-in-the-teeth brand of punk rock to the people, for the people.
