Ed Dampier

I'm a 25 yr old guitarist based in London. I have been playing for around ten years now and although initially self-taught I have also studied performance at The Guitar Institute, where I gained a grade of distinction. Areas of interest in my own music include: mixing rhythm and lead playing, light and shade, fingerstyle guitar, unusual chords or chord voicings, and fast modern approaches to blues soloing. I always aim to write songs born from a variety of defined musical ideas. I also aim to have a visual sense that matches my music. I am currently working on my debut album for completion summer 2008. I am also available for session work and am currently working with a number of artists; with whom I have worked in this context writing music and aiding the realisation of existing songs by producing a variety of appropriate guitar sounds/styles to complement the material.
