About Me

A 21 year old musician from London, Finn is currently taking a year off from studying. Having finished her first year of BA music at Bath Spa University, decided that she would prefer to be in London and is now currently playing with the Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra (Peter Stark), regularly with the Rehearsal Orchestra (Levon Parikian) and has recently joined the London Pheonix Orchestra (Levon Parikian).Finn spent her last year playing cello with guitarist and singer Toby Pellow (found on friends list). This set-up has gigged around Bath, London and the Beach Break Live Festival in Cornwall, with percussionist Sam Nadel (also in friends list). She is looking forward to continue gigging with Toby and Sam, when Toby moves to London in late March, and is also undertaking a few gigs with singer Daisy Dea (in friends list). She also played bass guitar in soul and big bands with fellow music students at Bath Spa. Finn also played cello and baroque cello in a variey of different university ensembles.
She has played the cello from the age of 8, and took up the bass guitar at the age of 15; starting lessons with Michael Mondesir at the start of her gap year in 2005.She also took Piano lessons with Nikki Yeoh during 2005-2006, and, although, not a first instrument, is continuing to play (mainly jazz). She has played cello and bass in numerous bands, ranging on the cello from acoustic (cello, guitar and voice) to folk and classical, to funk, jazz, soul, rock and folk on the bass guitar. In the past 2 years, Finn has played with bands Jack Shakespeare, Daisy Dea, Toby Pellow and Down I Go (on their album Disastercore).
