Celecia uses her lyrical gifts and talent to grace the mic in ways that her words bring life to the very souls of the hearers, causing new revelations and freedom in one’s state of mind. She's transparent in all her experiences and out of her mouth comes nothing but 'enlightment and praise'. She is a host, entertainer, and motivational speaker. As an artist, Celecia has been privilege to sing in gospel choirs, in her later years she has been featured singing on various CD's (i.e. Dr. Tiy-E's Ladies in Paradise www.drtiye.com); gone on tour throughout the UK as a backing choir singer for Wynton Marsalis and The London Philharmonic Orchestra; performed in several venues in Atlanta, GA (USA), as well as in the UK; featured in June 2006 on MTV Base ‘The Lick with Trevor Nelson; Recorded for a Film entitled ‘A Dreamer's Dream', (which was selected for the Pan African Film Awards in Los Angeles, CA). Further she was selected to perform for world renown black author- Eric Jerome Dickey's Birthday Celebration and has recently been a guest on Colourful Radio's Talent Mix, and Live Wire.------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------If you ask Celecia, she will tell you that she is extremely shy in her talents. She is learning to take her father, Marion Clyde Douglas' advice 'Just sing from your heart baby, the same gift that's in me is in you'. That's a high compliment from her father considering that in her eyes-he sounds better than Donny Hathaway and Luther Vandross. The inspiration to create RTM Entertainment was birthed out of seeing her father as a frustrated artist never truly reach his full potential, as well as consitently see other artist struggle to live their dreams. In 2006 RTM Entertainment evolved and formed a venue called "Respect The Mic". "Respect The Mic" is an intimate open mic session for lyricists, poets, and singers.
