Alright... a basic bio. Well I am most definitely a romantic... and I don't mean just about the whole love thing. As a musician I am very passionate about music but that passion tends to flavor just about everything in my life. I am a realist but also a dreamer. I figure that although one has to except that things are the way they are at the moment I also believe there are ways for things to change.... may take a while or change can happen almost instantaneously, but things can change and change for the better. I love to have in depth conversations but I also happen to act goofy as all get out. It's my way of coping with the crap I hate and can't change. Plus life is just that much more fun when in the end... after all the analysis.... all the "facing of facts".... all the battles to try to work for improvements (starting with myself).... I can just let it all go with the peace that I did my best and just laugh and then focus on the best of this world ... like my daughter!! : )
Basic things which are important to me... (in order of importance) God, family, friends and music. I have an extended network of friends but just a few EXTREMELY close friends. Music also has always been in my life. I've been singing since I can remember. I taught myself to read music at the age of 5 or 6 (I read music before books, but trust me I didn't understand it really well until much later) and to play piano at the age of 8. Then I went on to get some guidance to further that training. I have been classically trained vocally since the age of 11. I started training my voice in jazz about 10 yrs ago. I love to sing and continue to work on my own music, but I have also been around business all my life. Put the two together and you have why I am currently working in the music business.
I would love to either run my own indie-label or help an up and running label succeed even more. I love helping other talented intelligent hard working artists to succeed also
The Prayer of Saint Francis of Asissi:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, help me foster love.
Where there is injury, help me bring pardon.
Where there is doubt, help me foster faith.
Where there is despair, help me bring hope.
Where there is darkness, help me shed light.
Where there is sadness, help me bring joy.
O Divine Master, help me remember that it is far better for me
to console rather than be consoled;
to understand rather than be understood;
to love rather than be loved.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
