Crazy Brit who is always up for a laugh!!

About Me

I am a fun, bubbly, outgoing and sociable person who is currently working and residing in Worcester where I am studying for a PhD in English Literature.I love music of all kinds (trust me I will give anything a go - nudge nudge, wink wink),and I really enjoy having a good time with my mates, whether it be down the local pub for a good old British pint or two, or on a proper night out at Bushwackers, the local nightclub (note the sexual innuendo!!)My favourite past time is watching films (I am a huge fan of horror movies and always watch them on my own in the dark - probably not the best idea in the world, but I do it anyway!) I spend most of my time reading - books for my course and also those of general interest. I have just finished "The Woman in Black" by Susan Hill which is a fantastic read. I would recommend it to anyone, it's perfect for a cold winter's night!!I love British comedy, especially Little Britain, The League of Gentlemen (they really are fantastic), Catherine Tate and of course the Vicar of Dibley - especially the New Year special!I am fanatical about Elvis and the Beatles and was so chuffed when I got to go to New York to see the Imagine memorial in Central park, a tribute to one of the best musical artists in the 20th Century.I relish the opportunity to travel and am frequently hopping over the pond to the States to see my lovely fiance Patrick who is the most amazing guy I have ever met and what's more he loves us Brits and the UK in general! What more could a girl ask for??!!!!I am really interested in conspiracy theories (those associated with Jack the Ripper and JFK) and am eternally mesmorised by the literature of the First World War which is absolutely spectacular. If you want to get an accurate portrayal of warfare, look no further than the poetry of Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon, their work is so haunting and even though it was written over 80 years ago, it is still so relevant to today's age. Truly amazing stuff. That is about all I have to say (I mean come on, a girl has to maintain a little mystery!!)

My Interests

Reading, going to the gym, walking, writing poetry, watching horror films, getting incredibly drunk with my mates.

I'd like to meet:

I would love to hear from anyone who wants to chat about history, books, socialising, getting so hammered that you forget who your boyfriend is, films, comedy, anything that tickles your fancy really! Then you might just get to know just what tickles mine!!! ;)
