Leandus Poe is currently residing in St. Louis Mo., where he is promoting his new book Strawberries and Blackberry Cheesecake. He was born February 13, 1975. At the age of 14 he moved to the small town of Monroe, Louisiana. Mr. Poe had a vision to see the world, with limited resources, he decided to join the United States Navy in 1993 after graduating from Carroll High School. He entered the Navy as an E-1 and left as an E-6. He was awarded five Navy and Marine Corp Acheivement Medals by the time he was 27 from the Secretary of the Navy. He was also awarded a humanitarian service medal and several more accomplishments. His dedication to his country is reflected by his desire to create a new style of writing. Strawberries and Blackberry Cheesecake is his second novel.

Author’s Commentary----It was very challenging to write this book through the eyes
of a woman. The idea for Strawberries and Blackberry
Cheesecake is actually a fiction spin-off from my first book
Diminishing Love. All the idea concepts in this book are
fiction. In Diminishing Love Strawberries and Blackberry
Cheesecake represented the union of something new in a
relationship. The two elements acted as a symbol of the
character’s love. The idea was a reward for the parts ofthe
relationship that went well.When I truly thought about putting this book together I envisionedStrawberries and Blackberry Cheesecake as anevolving concept. I wanted it to represent a man showing his love for his woman. It is also the final destination of all things hoped for in a relationship. Strawberries and Blackberry Cheesecake is the sexy satisfying idealistic approach to the eternal pledge of love and trust.This book has a very enticing tittle that explores a story that is drenched in tragedy and baptized in triumph. My story centers around a single mother whom has nothing more than the desire to over come the odds stacked against her.Through a tragic event she vows to raise the perfect man.By her raising the perfect man, as a mother, she feels like she can turn back time, thereby preventing the tragedy that happened to her.
