Effective, affordable promotion for independent bands.
Ya Basta! to other people's music taking up magazine space!
Ya Basta! to wasting your bands money on ineffective solutions!
Ya Basta! to your music not reaching the right people!
Enough's enough! Ya Basta have had enough of seeing so much independent talent go unnoticed, and we're here to help.
Ya Basta! PR was founded by Ash Eaton in 2006, after undertaking many years of varied experience in the music industry, from music retail work to touring (booking, promotion and management) to label work to specialist PR. After gaining experience within other companies, working with a range of metal/rock/rock n roll indie and mainstream acts, she started the Fading Ways Music UK Record Label (www.fadingways.co.uk) in 2004 before branching the business out into the Fading Ways Music Store and Fading Ways Artist Collective (www.fwmusicstore.co.uk).
Working with a variety of guitar-based genres from rock n roll to punk to metal to glam & sleaze to indie rock, Ya Basta aims to carry out a comprehensive grassroots PR campaign, getting your music to the specific fanzines, webzines, music websites, music blogs, tastemakers and mainstream music magazines who will be most likely to take notice and dig what you do. Each CD mailout is carefully crafted, depending on the sound and style of the music, with contacts handpicked out of our extensive database to suit your sound and appeal.
We know and appreciate how much of a band's time, effort and money goes into putting a release together and getting it ready to present to the industry and fans, and think that once your blood, sweat and tears has gone into the recording- promoting it properly and letting people with good taste know about it shouldn't be out of reach. We aim to work with you very closely to create the perfect solution, ensuring that music fans who will love you will be given the opportunity to find out about you via their usual streams of music discovery.
Each project undertaken includes:
- Design and printing of a PR mailout sheet, personalised to the band/artist
- Writing or adapting your biography and band information
- Addition to the Ya Basta! website and MySpace page
- Feature in a Ya Basta! newsletter
- CD mailout to relevant press contacts ( to include rock radio, internet radio, podcasts, web blogs, zines, webzines, magazines etc etc...)
- 2 months of PR work, or until the job is done!
- Individual personal followups undertaken for every promo copy sent out
- Tour date PR an optional extra ( additional fees apply)
- 2 PR progress reports throughout the work period
- Advice and guidance on marketing and promotional ideas
- Distribution and retail possibilities and advice- enquire for further information
- Access to excellent and affordable promotion items such as buttons/ badges/ business cards/ postcards, flyers etc via Slugernaut Designs
