About the name and band of Christian Death 1334 The name is our way of honoring our dear friend Rozz Williams and resurrecting the sound which is distinctly Christian Death.
We are a band of 6 musicians and are taking the next steps on a musical path started by the original Christian Death . Rikk Agnew, James McGearty and Eva O being members from Only Theatre of Pain and Christian Omar Madrigal Izzo was featured on Path of Sorrows, one of the later CD's featuring Rozz Williams.
Rikk Agnew, James McGearty and the late Rozz Williams were the architects of the Christian Death attack and wrote the iconic songs and created the timeless sounds of Only Theatre of Pain while Eva O wrote many of the songs with Rozz Williams on Rage of Angels and Path of Sorrows. Guitarist Jaime Pina and keyboardist Le'rue Delashay have been brought in to create a richer and fuller sound once imagined by the original line-up.
We have come together to create new music to satisfy the taste of those who have appreciated the unique sound of Christian Death and to push ourselves into a musical realm that is familiar yet new . There have been many who imitate and emulate Christian Death making it clear there is a hunger for this darker style of music.
While we plan on playing a few songs from Only Theatre of Pain, we promise to deliver the second coming of sound and ritual through our vision of Christian Death 1334.
