It's Been Said That Rick's BBQ Is The Best Around

About Me

Cool Slideshows I changed my profile with help from pYzam
I'm the owner of Rick's BBQ & More in Westwood, Ky. I have a wonderful wife , Ava and 3 daughters, Takesha, Vickie and Crystal. I have a son-in-law Jason who seems like a son to me and a handsome grandson Chase.I also have a beautiful granddaughter Madison who has me wrapped around her little finger. I was self-employed for many years as a carpenter but for the last 25 years I've dreamed of opening a restaurant where I could fix good southern smoked barbecue. After I graduated from high school and joined the Army I lived in Clarksville, TN for 23 years and years ago an old southern gentleman who was an African American taught me how to fix smoked barbecue. So a few months ago the Lord answered my prayers and gave me a chance to make a go at the restaurant business. My sister wanted me to call it "Rachael's" because she always wanted a younger sister but she got me so she called me Rachael just to aggravate me. I thought Rick's would be better because I don't think I'd appreciate anyone else calling me Rachael! I'm a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and have alot of support from my brothers and sisters in Christ.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Tim McGraw and any friends I haven't met yet. My mother always said; "There aren't any strangers, just friends we haven't met yet." I also pray that I get to meet Jesus someday and see the rest of my loved ones there that have gone on before me.

Free Flash Toys MySpace Layouts Help Add Tomorrows Every Day! Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that occurs when a child inherits two copies of the defective CF gene --- one from each parent. More than 10 million Americans (one in 31 people) are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Each time two carriers conceive, there is a 25 percent chance that their child will have CF. The defective CF gene causes the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky mucus, which clogs the airways and leads to life-threatening lung infections. The thick CF mucus also obstructs the pancreas, preventing enzymes from reaching the intestines to break down and digest food. The symtoms of CF are diverse, vary in severity, and can be confused with frequent pneumonia or asthma. The diagnostic test for CF is called the sweat test and it measures the amount of salt in a person's sweat. An abnormally high salt level indicates a CF diagnosis. There are approximately 30,000 children and adults in the U.S. who have CF (70,000 worldwide)My niece has CF and we need a cure so if you would be interested in getting donations and walking in the Great Strides Walk this spring or giving a donation please e-mail me or let me know when you come in.
