I sent the book to East Catholic High with my husband who taught there and didn't get it back until the end of the schol year. But that was ok cause all the young ladies at the school read it. It is still a very good read. For anyone who has only seen the movie, I suggest readin the book. Also, I think I shall also re-read 'The Temple of my Familiar' The reason I picked up the book is because I was a little upset with the last book I tried readin by Alice Walker. Something just wasn't right so I begin to wonder did I ever really enjoy her stories and yes I really did enjoy her stories. Everybody changes and I guess grow, however I just did not enjoy her growth and change. The girl can write and tell a good story when she allows the spirits in.
