I love to read...I love theology..having deep conversations with smart people...walking in the park...watching my kids play basketball...and soccer...and baseball...working around the yard especially when I have happy helpers..I actually enjoy writing papers...thats partly why I am still taking classes this late in my life.
I would like to talk to C.S. Lewis's for a while...maybe he'd invite me to join the Inklings? I'd LOVE to meet G.K. Chesterton- I think he is one of the last century's best writers and when I read his work I always laugh at his great sense of humor...I would love to just visit with my family back in NY more often...and I would love to be able to see my Mom one more time.
I like many kinds of music..I like my son Josh's music, Jason Upton, Keith Green, praise and worship...
I watched several movies in the last few years that each meant something to me. Thirteen Conversations About One Thing (What's important in life?) Good Will Hunting (too much cursing and some off color scenes, but the overall message of redemption and new beginnings is great) BraveHeart (When William Wallace yells "FREEDOM" at the end I am always moved!) The Patriot (Fighting for a noble cause no matter the cost inspires me) The Passion of the Christ (I cried from the very first scene till the last..awesome!)
Everybody Loves Raymond (My mom got me watching this and it is soooo funny)and the History Channel, But mostly though I do NOT like TV!!!!!
Mere Christianity~ C.S. Lewis Orthodoxy~ G.K. Chesterton Spiritual Direction~ Henri Nouwen Breaking Free~Beth MooreVictory over Darkness~Neil Anderson I have loved many many many books but nuthin' meets my awe inspiring Bible
I am inspired by people who believe in Truth and Liberty and Love and Goodness and sacrifice to see them happen. I love people who see the darkness but are wise enough to recoginize the Light that exists in the midst of it.
