Hi, my name is Lana. I guess the usual stuff to write here is how I'm "happily married to a wonderful guy and we have two beautiful boys...." While that's entirely true, I had to put it in quotes because it seems very cliche and I thought I should acknowledge that.
I have worked in the hospitality industry for some 20 years (yes, I hardly believe I've done anything for 20 years either). I've mostly worked either at the front desk or as a concierge of some of the big name ritzy resort hotels. I've enjoyed it because it was busy and I benefitted by being able to take advantage of dining and wonderful activities with little to no expense.
You might be interested in what brought me to MySpace? You might be wondering what, if anything, do I have to do with modeling? Well, I've done some modeling over the years. Nothing top fashion like, so don't go looking for me on any Vogue or Elle covers;) Besides, aside from an occasional garment gig, I don't do many jobs anymore. I guess my age (and weight) has caught up with me!
Throughout the years, I've been a creative person. I've always been interested in computers and creative software. I've designed several web pages and do a great deal of work with PhotoShop, and have even dabbled in producing videos.
A short time ago, I came across a software developer who was working on a brilliant and unique application. I've been working with him ever since and making suggestions for improvements. As incredible as the software was before, it is truly awesome now. It's very versatile and has a great deal of potential. One of the first things I thought of was artist and modeling porfolios. Because the ebooks can be compiled into an executable format, we can couple the ebook with an autorun program. When both files are burned into a CD, your potential client can just put the disc into their disc drive and turn your pages! Again, being very versatile, they can also be hosted on a website for download or emailed to anyone and everyone. Oh, did I mention that we can also embed video, active links, and feedback forms into the ebooks?!?!??
Not only do they make great portfolios for models, artists, and photographers, but they make fantastic brochures or picture albums for anyone who wants them and can see the vast potential in these unique, virtually 3 dimensional ebooks. AND, because I own the software and I'm the one creating the ebooks, I get to set the prices! This means that I will make my best effort at allowing everyone who wants one to be able to afford one!
