MySpace Ticker Lyrics
Possessing musical talent from an early age Eric Mummey, also known as the MUMM-E-MAN or CRAZ-E. started playing music on his Grandpa's accordion when he was 5. He also started making sound effects and imitating anything he heard, birds, police sirens etc. He often entertained at lunch in school. It was there that he began collaborating with other local talented artists. Their demo caught the attention of famed Grammy Award Winner, Keith Harrison, who would prove to be a source of encouragement and constant inspiration to Eric. Keith introduced Eric to the following talented musicians: The Dazz Band, Keith Wilder of Heatwave, Morris Day and the Time. To name a few. Eric has also met Roger Troutman and some of the members of Slave. In 1992 Eric entered and placed 1st. in a national talent contest in Dayton, Ohio. The contest, judged by The Boys, Shirley Murdock and Brian Castle of Atlantic Records, won him a trip to Hollywood, California to record a demo. It was there that he collaborated with Chuck Debow, Haywood Collins, Howie Hirsh and Allan Tatum at L.A.Q studio, on a re-mix single that he performed during the contest. After much consideration and several contract offers later, Eric chose to stay in his beloved hometown where he continues to work today with local talented artists.Contact TablesMySpace Widgets
