The Tyranchulas

About Me

A Leicester based 3 piece band playing our own music with a strong sense of the Punk Ethic. The band formed around 8 months ago. Various members came and went, never to be heard of again. Many musicians were auditioned to take their place and they, too, were never heard of again. Eventually the current line-up was formed, which has given the band its own unique sound. The Tyranchulas will be heard again and again. The band members are:
Johan "The Bear" Kahn.
Main writer, lead singer and rhythm guitar. Influences are Joy Division, The Who and The Jam and the New Casssettes.
Age:
Twenty nine, but denies this.
Hobbies:
Music, eating, applied & advanced mathematics and depression
Proudest moment:
Beating the world record for how many video tapes can be balanced on top of a television.
Andy Burdett.
Backing vocals and bass guitar. Influences are too numerous to list, but if you pick an Artist at random thats mostly guitar driven, theres a good chance he's into them.
Age:
Possibly the youngest in the band, but refuses to confirm this.
Hobbies:
Racing against the clock. Shower maintenance. Live music. Also playing bass, drums and keyboards, (but not at the same time).
Proudest moment:
Arriving early to a rehearsal in 2007.
Tom Thump!.
Drums.Influences are Ginger Baker, The Hammers and Keith Moon (of The Who).
Age:
Twenty four.
Hobbies:Hitting drums, tapping kitchen appliances with sticks and anything to do with hitting drums. Also likes to hit drums.
