About Me
I am a brazilian guitar player and I started studing the guitar with Renato Motta, an amazing brazilian composer and guitar player, while I also studied musical theory with Giovanni Mendes, a graduate from BIT. In the meantime, I joined many rock bands and, 2 years later, I started studying with guitarrist Augusto Nogueira, a brazilian fusionist, my teacher for 7 years. I became really interested in rock fusion and developed my whole musical vocabulary in this style. I’ve played in several different bands which, I believe, helped develop my playing to a great extent. They were too many to count, as well as a miriad of different styles. I learned a little from all of them, but I always had my own style. And I kept studying, learning musical theory and guitar technique, and it allowed me to go musically where inspiration would take me.I studied with another guitarrist called Humberto Maldonado, a gifted player, a "virtuoso". I also studied with Lucio Gomes, great bass player, orchestra musician and music teacher. At this point, I felt like I needed to go abroad to study and experience a different musical atmosphere. So I came to Paris, where I live now and where I study classical music at the university and jazz at the "Conservatoire National de Région de Cergy-Pontoise". Here, I’m playing in different projects and, once again, different styles. It’s a great pleasure to be here and to meet all these talented musicians.
