Crazy Cowgirl Jewelry & More is based on the beautiful Central Coast of California. I started my business using my profit from selling heifers, sheep, and a steer at the California Mid-State Fair over four years of high school. I grew up in Cayucos, graduated from Templeton High school in 2003 and am currently attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, majoring in Agriculture Systems Management. I began my business from home, hand selecting all of my merchandise, and I am proud to say that I have learned a lot in the short amount of time that I have been in business. I carry: sterling silver - earrings, rings, pendants, cuff bracelets, clasping bracelets, chains, necklaces, watches; sterling silver set with gems, stone, turquoise, coral, onyx; turquoise, coral and assorted stone chip/chunk bracelets and necklaces. My inventory varies as I am constantly researching new sources. I also sell purses, cell phone holders, belts, candles, picture frames, and other home décor items all ranging in style from trendy to western, retro, and classy. I’ve done very well selling my jewelry at the Creston Classic Rodeo, Atascadero Colony Days, Equine Experience, Rick Machado horse sale, Western Bonanza, the Mid-State Fair, a number of craft shows, livestock shows, community events, several California High School Rodeos, and college rodeos. I have also put on several in home jewelry parties. Another way I have been able to sell my merchandise is by putting it on consignment. In the past Crazy Cowgirl Jewelry has been available at Santa Margarita Feed, Tip-Toe and tanning salon, Antiques et Cetera, The Workhorse, Farm Supply and Reborn. I am happy to say I’ve had an amazing response to my business since I began in September of 2003 with an easy up tent at the Creston Rodeo. I believe I’ve been successful because I strive to carry high quality unique jewelry at a low price. By keeping my overhead low and creating my own jewelry I am able to keep my mark up low. I am able to operate out of a booth in a building or from my 20ft. vending trailer that opens on all three sides. I greatly enjoy my business and am always thinking of new ways to satisfy my customers. Last summer at the Mid-State Fair I introduced my clothing line featuring the Crazy Cowgirl logo. It was an instant hit and I am continuing to add new styles of clothing and looking into other merchandise.I have also been working to expand my ability to sell wholesale which is my latest focus.
