GIOVANNI MOSCATELLO

Giovanni Moscatello believe it or not it`s his real name. His roots are Sicilian but he was born and raised in Germany. He grew up with electronic music. As a child he listened to the music of his brother Fillipo known as DJ Naughty. So Chicago House and Detroit Techno have been early influences. 1993 he began to work in a record store and two years later he started to spin the turntables as a DJ.

His sound is unique a combination of his Italian temper and his classic roots driven by his love for music and feeling for the crowd. 2004 his first release came out on Data Error Records featuring Adrien Walter (Sex in Dallas).

Since 2005 Giovanni Moscatello is promoting events in Berlin. From february on, Giovanni will kick his new event series called DISCO MAFIA in cooperation with Italy´s most wanted and talented Video Selector Channel 83 at Pulp Mansion in Berlins Mitte.

CHANNEL 83

Channel 83 is a project born at the beginning of 2004 aiming to create an online archive dedicated to wounds. The website CHANNEL 83 .The website was initially set up in order to document the penetration of a new understanding of wounding in contemporary culture: slowly but steadily, Channel 83 has grown in its depth, becoming something way more complex, a platform for artists, directors, academics, writers where the very notions of body and wound are explored, deconstructed, re-assessed, an arena for discussion focusing on the body, its skin, and its viscerality.

In the first two years of its life Channel 83 has showcased works by over 40 international artists, both scouting the up and coming talent and devoting its attention to the already well-established names (Saturno Butto’, Mario A, Margot Quan Knight, Doralba Picerno, etc).

Channel 83 also attempts to actively promote the work of those who help with its development, organizing events allover Europe where the talent of its contributors can be showcased.

In Channel 83’s universe, wounds become interfaces allowing for a fibrillating process of transformation to be set into motion.

Peter Grummich

started djing at the age of 13, mixing with double tapes and cutting trax together, started turntablism with hip hop, electro and early chicago house and, when techno came, crossing allover, mixing sonic youth with acid house, pure freestyle action and always in a creative process to break the boundaries to push the energy on the floor....

Mass_Prod

is Martino Marini, born in Genoa in 1983. His interest in developing electronic music dates form 1998, resulting in an evolution of sounds and beats inspired by various influences. In 2003 Mass_Prod project unfolds with his liveset and djing in Italy’s top clubs. Founder of the netlabel Flexible Audio, he works and share the console with some of the most important artists of the prolific Italian underground.
