Y.I.A. was founded by childhood friends Donny and Pat who had been writing music together since they were kids. In 2002 they met up with Andy, started writing some material while searching for a drummer, and Y.I.A. was born. Jen played with us for two years before leaving to persue other interests. Thats when new drummer, John, came along and we started taking on more of a metal influence that sounded better than ever. In late 2006 Pat decided to leave the band to pursue other intersts but before doing so he asked Donny's brother Greg if he would be interested in taking over bass duties. Greg jumped right on the idea and the other members agreed that he was a good choice for the band. So now with a new bassist we are set to evolve yet again and who knows what the future may hold.
