Punk rock from the Puget Sound.
Project-9 formed in late 1997 to bring back hard and fast punk to a local scene that had gone soft. Influenced by the likes of The Misfits, Ramones, Black Flag and The Exploited among others we set out to play punk the way we thought it should be and not follow the latest trends in music to be popular. With the original line up of Billy-vocals, Joe-Bass/vocals, Tom-Guitar and Andy-Drums we recorded Suburban War, Another Day Gone Bye and Stand and Unite and played shows with Zeke, The Real Mckenzies, The Accused, Larry and the Gonowheres, Bumpin Uglies, Lesbians, Brainsick, Bloodclots, Poxy, Contaminated and others.
In late 2004 Donny became the new voice of Project-9 and gave us a much needed boost and in the late summer of 2005 recorded a new CD Can't Be Stopped. Now reenergized we've played shows with several great bands like The Independents, 800 Octane, Potbelly, State of Revolution, Victor Cutoff, INFECT, Gutbomb, The Extinct, Full Frontal Assault, Wack Job, Vs. The World, Rewind, Legends on Heroin and the list grows.
