About Me

Originally from Dublin and currently based in New York, Isabelle is a classically-trained pianist who's performances have taken her around the United States, Canada, Japan, France, Germany, Italy and Ireland . While she likes playing Beethoven and Liszt, she really loves going beyond the traditional rep, playing new or 'alternative' classical music and will improvise, pluck, strum, scrape, sing, whistle and knock the insides of the instrument any chance she gets. She also loves collaborating with other musicians, artists, poets, dancers....She has played music by contemporary composers: John Adams, Louis Andriessen, Seoirse Bodley, Pierre Boulez, John Buckley, Don Byron, John Cage, George Crumb, Sofia Gubaidulina, Marion Ingoldsby, Helmut Lachenmann, David Lang, Tania Leon, Bunita Marcus, Philip Martin, Steve Martland, Meredith Monk, Jane O'Leary, Bright Sheng, Ian Wilson, Julia Wolfe.
