About Me

Koi Anunta, M.D., is a Yale-educated medical doctor who redirected her career in order to pursue her true love of music. She began her classical studies in piano and violin at four and eight years old, and by age sixteen, she had become a state-ranked concert pianist and violinist, and earned the additional honor of being named the top student violinist in her entire county. Also an accomplished singer, Koi has toured the United States as a member, and later as musical director, of her Yale a cappella group.
As a classical musician in contemporary times, Koi has always let her true feelings guide her sound, and the product of that expression has resulted in an original musical phenomenon like no other. Koi has written and produced her own music since 1996, and now resides and performs in Los Angeles, California. Her most recent guest credit was a violin collaboration with multi-Grammy-winning artist Macy Gray on the aptly-titled song, "Unforgettable," which will be included on Macy's upcoming 2008 Geffen Records studio release.
Koi's own new, full-length album is also due for completion in 2008, so please stay tuned for updates!

All music, lyrics, vocal and instrumental performance, and production are by Koi Anunta, and are her sole copyright.
