DOUBLE J (OXE)

As one fourth of the underground super label O.S.O.L. XPRESSED Entertainment, the young lyricist Double J definitely brings his own flavor into the equation. As the O.S.O.L. family continues to expand across the South, Double J is focused on bringing not only a hot flow to in house producer/CEO Who?Dat's piece of art, but incorporate a sense of reality to his rhymes. J says, Rappers these days sound too gangsta for their own good, I mean they dont even believe what they spit their selves. Im just trying to relate to the daily struggle in America. Born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in the small town of Brunswick, Georgia, Double J is a southern boy by nature. Growing up in South Georgia, Double J gradually followed the light into the world of hip hop. Naturally, he was blessed with the skill to write (this was evident throughout school) and he slowly but surely molded his passion for words into music. Poetry served as an escape for Double J, allowing him to lose himself on the paper and interpret his thoughts into art. Dating all the way back to 2nd grade, he recalls himself writing poems for family members and girls, often reciting them in front of audiences to observe their reaction. Deep down, J always wanted to be a performer/entertainer, whether it was sports or just him and his younger brother Jake just being the life of the party. Around the age of ten, Double Js Aunt introduced him to the music of an artist by the name of 2Pac, and Js love for rap was born. By high school, J was freestylin' at parties, spitting rhymes about his friends at the lunch table, and in 10th grade he wrote his first verse. Leaving the confinements of South Georgia for college, Double J made his way to Atlanta, Georgia, attending Georgia State University. There, J crossed paths with Who?Dat and history was in the making. Teaming up with Who?Dats O.S.O.L. family, Double J and Company embarked on their journey into the rap game, blazing the underground mixtape scene. Now, with multiple projects on the way from the O.S.O.L. camp including Double Js debut album Sealed for your Protection, the team has their sights set on the industry and are intent on bringing their unique southern vibe to the forefront of hip hop.
