Roberto Farkas either plays with all the members of Babylon 4 (violin, accordion, cimbalom, double bass and piano) or with a pianist (or the combination of both). Their repertoire goes from classical music through jazz, gypsy music, world music and latin to international evergreens. As most of them are multi-instrumentalists, one mustn‘t be surprised to see them changing instruments during their programme.
Roberto has played the world’s most prestigious stages with different orchestras and bands. He was the youngest lead violinist of the Budapest Gypsy Orchestra but similarly collaborated with top class jazz musicians. Besides his stage career his passion is entertainment. He and his Babylon musicians have played at several high profile events including a reception given in honour of Elie Wiesel, Nobel laureate writer and peace-fighter in Portofino or a cast party after the premiere of Sandor Marai’s Embers in London with the participation of Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons. In Budapest they are frequently invited to conference receptions including a major cultural conference „Inclusive Europe“.
