Keith Patrick Bartholomew was blessed with a guitar at the age of 13. Not knowing that you could replace a string that a friend had broken, he still played with 5 strings, learning & learning. Three weeks later he saw Ted Nugent in concert and it hit him like a ton of bricks that this is what he needed to do with his life. A year and a half he studied music theory and by the age of 16 he was playing in clubs with a top 40 band by the name of "BLACK SMOKE". With a close friend that played bass and the drummer of Black Smoke, he started doing covers of Ozzy w/Randy Rhoads, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen etc. in the Lehigh Valley area. Then to later write with classical guitar studies and his influences of these great idols of his. He started an original band "MOULIN ROUGE" which have recorded professional demos (being scouted by ELECKTRA RECORDS in 1990 with the hit song "NITE TIME LOVER") and played shows in the LV area. After the demise of the band, he won the guitar hero contest sponsored by M.A.P.P. magazine and then soon after started the band "FUZLAND PILGRIMZ" which played for three years in the LV scene and New York City showcases. After the demise of that band, he then did two solo cds “ PRAY JUDAS†and “INTEGRITY†and now his new solo cd"KICKIN AGAINST THE GOADS"( WWW.MYSPACE.COM/KEITHPATRICK OR CLICK ON KEITH PATRICK ON MY TOP FRIENDS) which on these cds he programmed drum machine, played bass, key boards and played all guitar parts with speed and accuracy. After that he started writing serious hard and melodic tunes. After numerous musicians, he finally found the right bass player, ths right singer and the right drummer to form this modern day Led Zeppelin, which is now "HAPLESS CHILD". He also built "KPB STUDIOS" ( WWW.MYSPACE.COM/KPBSTUDIOS OR CLICK ON KPB STUDIOS ON MY TOP FRIENDS ) With the help of numerous friends at his home, which fueled his years of technical ear for production, which has given him the ability to produce this great heavily influenced band to be able to put out this project to give back to you , the listening people. After long and grueling endeavors , he hopes that you appreciate and understand the work, for you the listening public, to feel just the all around music that might touch you for five minutes a song, let alone the whole cd of 45 or more minutes, that does not even scratch the surface of the turf of his life. "HAPLESS CHILD" refuses to sell out to cover music, just 70's, 80's & 90's influences of original in your face rock n roll. Three "HAPLESS CHILD" cd’s, more waiting to be recorded(archive and new), three solo projects and a whole crap load of new music waiting to be heard for you the listening public, for you and only you, peace and enjoy.
