This 19 year old Songtress by the name of Ca’Laura (name given to her by her father) aka LaLa has been performing since the age of four. Whether it be singing, acting or dancing, Ca’Laura always had an itch for the stage. "She was so dramatic!" Says her family, " Wherever there was an audience, Ca’Laura had a stage." She began to take her talent seriously in grade school. Performing in school plays singing in the chorus, and expressing her creativness outside of school. Her love to entertain spilled from church and on, touching whomever lent an ear. It was evident she had a gift. And even as a child she was aware. She new she wanted to live her life sharing her blessing to others, and she would soon find the push to do so.Throughout High School, Ca’Laura began to really evolve her talent. Becoming apart of her schools Performing Arts Program, she was able to polish and develope other talents. All the while keeping a pen in her hand. "I remember being little writng my own stories, poems and songs, and the confidence I got from my family motivated me to get better, I love my tool, I love expressing life’s issues on paper or within a melody." And that’s what has kept her going. Having her share of being apart of female groups, writing behind the scenes and singing for other artist, Ca’Laura remains versatile. But feeling crippled and not able to be unique and expound her talent lead her into her own path. Continuing to write, sing, and perform, This humble songbird is coming to bring a sound that only she can.
