We started out as 3 friends who were tired of the local music scene and decided to try something new. The original line up consisted of Rusty Scumrock on guitar and lead vocals, T.K. Horror on bass and backing vocals and Zach on drums and backing vocals. After a few months of hard practice we finally had enough material for a show. A week before our show Zach brought one of friends to practice, Twitch, and one thing lead to another and next thing we know we have a lead guitarist. So then Rusty moved to lead vocals and we stole the microphone from Zach and gave it to Twitch.
We played a number of shows with this line up, changed practice spots 3 times and never really wrote any material excpet for a few songs here and there. We recorded our first demo in the fall of 2007 at our practice spot we faithfully called, The Whorehouse. Got some shirts made in the winter of 2007 and started 2008 off with a bang, played a show every weekend. Towards the end of January 2008 we decided The Whoremoans we're done, so we thought. We all agreed we should move on and try to make a name for our selves and start fresh. We decided to move on without Twitch in the band, due to conflict of interests.
Early Febuary 2008 we decided to get a new guitarist, so our drummer Zach said he would play and we asked our friend Eric if he would play drums. Enter the current line up for The Whoremoans. Rusty Scumrock on lead vocals, Big Jim (aka Zach) on lead guitar and backing vocals, T.K. Horror on bass and backing vocals, and the newest member of the Whore Core family, E-Roc playing drums.
