Ok, my name is Harriet Travis. I work at The Candy Bar in Brighton and i am also a promoter. I run my own night there called SOUNDCHECK which i run every 2nd Sunday of every other month.
SO HOW IT HAPPENED.....
My launch night was held on 12th November 06 and ended up to be a very successful night! With a full club i managed to raise £288 for Children With Cancer Fund in memory of Kat Jones - a dear friend of mine who went to the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) with me last year. Sadly she passed away on September 16th 06 aged only 17 years old.
WHAT A SUCCESS!
As the night was so successful,The Candy Bar have now offered me my own night every other month with live bands ranging from lots of different styles and genres of music!
If YOU are a SOLO ARTIST or IN A BAND...and are willing to play gigs FOR FREE..then please add me, comment me or come chat to me....i don't bite.... and i'll check you're music out! simple as!
