YOUR ARMY - Now booking August tour

About Me

Your Army are a female-fronted four piece alternative, riff rock band who formed in early September 2006. They’re based in Brighton and have been gigging extensively in the south east of the UK and have begun to firmly establish themselves as a serious act within the Brighton live music scene, priding themselves on their exciting, energetic live shows.
After having recently supported Feeder and My Awesome Compilation, headlined the Platform One stage at the Isle of Wight Festival 2009 and appeared on BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Radio Devon, the band are concentrating on writing a whole new set this summer and will be booking a tour for August before going back in the studio to record their second e.p.
Their debut E.P "What will the people say?" is available at all Your Army gigs and on Itunes.
QUOTES
"Hot, Angry, Vitriolic and Damn Sexy. Your Army rock hard with the riffs and bring the style with their sleek look. Fat guitars and razor sharp vocals driven by a thunderous, tight rhythm section. A live feast for the ears and eyes!"

Skunk Anansie
LIVE REVIEW KERRANG! 2008
LIVE REVIEW 2007
"Lucy Caffrey's vocals soar above the relentless bass and intricate guitar, while the drums cascade around your ears. The militaristic drumbeat and huge guitar riff of opener 'What Will the People Say' make the hairs on your neck stand on end, before launching into a ferocious chorus that causes the band to explode with energy"
"Brimming with energy, ability and showmanship, complete with massive riffs to back it all up, Your Army put on one hell of a show and are certainly worth catching live" 12 out of 13. Roomthirteen
MY APPROVAL - single review
'My Approval' is a funky rock anthem with a tight rhythm section and a singalong chorus, that'll be lodged firmly in your brain after one listen"
Rating: 4/5 by Campbell Miller (www.rockmidgets.com)
MY APPROVAL - rock3music
"My Approval’ is a well paced sing along track that shows the band have plenty of potential. Considering the band is so young the quality is impressive. Front Woman Lucy Caffery is an excellent vocalist!" Rock3music.com
