Outside Ordinary was originally formed around mid-2001 in Jakarta, Indonesia, mostly playing covers of 311,Incubus and Deftones. The band played in some shows and school festivals around Jakarta, but due to some member changes and splits, the band decided to call it quits. But since several of the band members were in the same University in Paramadina, they simply came along together, picking up where they had left off before. In 2003 the band teamed up with two guys from a different band who were also students in Paramadina, and they quickly became creative and started to write their own music. Their music was very diverse related to the many influences that the band members had, but that was only enough to build their own character and their style of rock music. Then in April 24th 2004, the new Outside Ordinary was born.
After 3 years filled with numerous gigs,festivals and many other shows and also writing many original materials of their own, they finally got the chance to show off the world what they got. The Outside Ordinary EP was released on their 3rd birthday at April 24th 2007, available in all Aksara stores in Jakarta. Give it a listen ! and hope you enjoy it.
