About Me

Yo vengo de todas partes, y hacia todas partes voy -Martí
"Jacky, come and give me thy fiddle,
If ever thou mean to thrive."
"Nay, I'll not give my fiddle
To any man alive.
"If I should give my fiddle,
They'll think that I've gone mad;
For many a joyous day
My fiddle and I have had."
-Mother Goose
Actor, Improviser, Singer-Songwriter. Ukulele player, guitarist, occasional mandolinist, appalling conguero. Happily married, a proud Papa. Caffeine addict. I've released two CDs, Let Go and Let Joe and Joe Lima . Hugo Award-nominated John Scalzi wrote about my first CD, "Let Go and Let Joe is funny, but it's at least partially that way because the lyrics are sharply observed even as they're amusingly mordant." My father comes from Cuba ; My mother's family has lived in Louisiana since 1774. I now live in the other LA, Los Angeles, California. I do improv at The Hothouse. There's no place in LA like the Hothouse and if you dig improv I urge you to check it out...

"CUBANOS, NO TENGAIS MIEDO".
"No busquen fuera lo que pueden encontrar dentro. No esperen de los otros lo que Ustedes son capaces y están llamados a ser y a hacer. No dejen para mañana el construir una sociedad nueva, donde los sueños más nobles no se frustren y donde Ustedes puedan ser los protagonistas de su historia.”
