..First and foremost: Advertising! (Like a midwife, I make my living bringing new babies into the world, except that mine are new advertising campaigns.)
Hiya! My name is Raul (

) and this is my MySpace! More often than not people tend to say how they find
it difficult to talk about themselves on something like this, but not me.
Thankfully I’ve got the gift of being able to write about anything. I think
that’s why I love creative writing, advertising, and public relations so much.
Anyhow, like I said before, my name is Raul. I’m a Yank born in Miami, Florida and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, currently living in the
United Kingdom (in Birmingham of all places) because my wife is British. I’ve
been married since December 3rd, 2005 and I can honestly say that it was the
best decision I ever made. I currently work in Birmingham City Centre as a Marketing / Advertising Manager for a leading on-line tour operator.
I am also a Papa to a no-so-little-anymore Jellybean; we call her Jellybean
because her name is Genevieve. Genevieve / Jellybean…pretty close. My Jelly
takes up a lot of my time and I am usually found either giving bottles of
milkies, changing nappies, giving baths with duckies, making her laugh out loud
by tickling her ruthlessly, playing, or just cuddling. She is loads of fun now
that she is crawling, standing up, and able to communicate.
Something that has been taking up a lot of my time recently is my campaign for
the Government of the United Kingdom to denounce the imprisonment of Dr. Oscar
Elias Biscet, a Cuban Doctor who has been jailed by the Castro Government all
because he wants basic Human Rights that all mankind should have regardless of
Politics, and to raise awareness in the United Kingdom about Human Rights abuses
that occur in Cuba. You can visit my Campaign site at:

I Love: My Sexy Wifey / MILF, Doing Funny Dances for Wifey & Jelly, Reading to Jelly, Tickling Jelly, Going-out on Adventures, with Jelly, Cuddling with Jelly, Being a Papa, Being a Husband, Advertising, Politics & Debating, History, Movies (Crime, Horror, Thriller, Drama, Comedy, Westerns), Working Out, Running, Swimming, Baseball, Basketball, Football (Soccer), Football (American), Deep Fried Calamari, Chorizo, Cuban Coffee, Materva, Iron Beer (Miami Style), Wearing Suits, Jeans, Sunglasses, Shopping, Cooking, Driving Aimlessly, Women, Women With Killer Legs, Women That Wear Strappy Heels, Women With a Brain, Julianne Moore, Meeting New People, Our Troops, Cuba y Mi Gente Cubana.
I Hate: Fidel Castro, The Castro Regime, Communists, Socialists, and Ultra-Liberals.
The reason I joined MySpace was to keep in touch with friends (which I am extremely bad at) and for Networking reason (which is non-existent on MySpace),
another reason is the fact that it gives me the opportunity to meet people from
other countries and learn about their culture. I love to travel, even more so
now that I live in Europe. I am planning several holidays overseas to places
including Ireland, Spain, France, and Italy.
My main reason to have joined MySpace though? Mi gente Cubana! I don’t know one
Cuban person in the United Kingdom, so MySpace provides a way of having a bit of
Cubanismo in my British life.
So take a look around, find out a little bit more about me, and keep in touch!

What Have You Got To Say?
When it comes to music I believe that an open mind is essential. Therefore you will find my play list riddled with beats from the 80s, jams from the nineties, acoustics from right now, rhythm from the Carribean, songs in different languages, and everything in between. All in all, I love music, and having such varied tastes makes my days brighter in the grey skies of Birmingham.
"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." Might sound dorky and nerdy, but Star Wars is the ultimate epic movie and I love it! I'm into most genres, but some other favourites include: The Godfather Trilogy, The Indiana Jones Trilogy, Scarface, Black Hawk Down, The Airplane Series, and The English Patient (I know!). My guilty pleasure, you ask? Kindergarten Cop.
Until I moved to the UK I didn't watch that much TV, but now that I am here I am hooked on the soaps! Eastenders, Emmerdale, and Coronation Street. More guilty pleasures. I also like all the documentaries that they show over here, along with stuff on The History Channel.
You know, I haven't read a good book in some time. I usually just stick to reading trade magazines within the Advertising industry. Currently: ADWEEK, Campaign, and Advertising Age.
My grand-father, who was a bombardier in the United States Army Air Force, stationed in England, during World War II.
And David Ogilvy, The Father of Advertising.
