I am here for Friends

About Me

I am President and Director of Development for Theatre Unleashed: I have also been known to produce a crappy webseries with puppets:

My Interests

Just about everything. Mostly I'm interested in my wife.

I'd like to meet:

Let's see if we can make this happen, six degrees of separation and all. I'd like to meet Robin Williams. You see, my mom has had a crush on Mr. Williams since ... Mork and Mindy, probably. I'd like to meet Robin Williams, call my mom on my cell phone, and have him say "hello" to her. Would I be so bold as to impose on Mr. Williams in this way? Hell yes.So. How do we make this happen?

Music:

John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Weezer, The Ditty Bops, Nickel Creek, Oingo Boingo, The Beatles, Zepplin, Heart, Foo Fighters, Julian Cope, The Who, Earth, the Max Recordings/Arkansas scene ... the list goes on and on ...

Movies:

Jean-Pierre Jeunet can do no wrong: Delicatessen, City of Lost Children, Amelie, A Very Long Engagement. M. Night Shyamalan, in particular: Signs, Unbreakable and The Village. Robert Rodriguez: El Mariachi, Desperado, Spy Kids 2. Sam Raimi: A Simple Plan, and the Evil Dead movies. Peter Jackson: Meet the Feebles, Brain Dead (Dead/Alive), The Frigheners, Heavanly Creatures, LOTR. In no particular order: Kill Bill vols 1 & 2, Clerks, Love Actually, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Last Samurai, Shaun of the Dead, Real Genius, The 'Burbs, The Empire Strikes Back ... The list goes on and on and on. Recently discovered the joy of Jean Luc Godard.

Television:

Lost, Firefly, The Office, My Name is Earl, Extreme Home Makeover, Veronica Mars, The Wire, Felicity.

Books:

Anything By Heinlein, but in particular: The Moon is a Harsh Mistress and Farnham's Freehold. The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, The Stand, The Harry Potter series. On the non-fiction side, I really dig Seth Godin. I read a lot of theatre theory: Peter Brook and David Mamet are my faves.

Heroes:

Ron Perlman, Bruce Campbell, Miguel Ferrar, Terry O'Quinn -- actors who get it done. Work hosses. Point men. Go-to guys. And Dave Grohl. Because he is rock and roll.
