Many of the school's students choose to audition for summer intensive programs. Students of the Austin School of Classical Ballet have been accepted, often on scholarship, to the following prestigious schools from across the country:American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Ballet Intensive from Moscow (BIM) Bossov Ballet Colorado Ballet Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, D.C. Music:

The school's director, Jennifer Felkner, began her ballet training at the State Ballet of Missouri with Diana Adams, Una Kai and Flora Klenklein, under the directorship of Todd Bolender. She simultaneously studied with Tatiana Dokoudovska at the School of Russian Ballet. Jennifer spent summers on scholarship at the Briansky Saratoga School in New York, working with David Briansky, Suki Schorer and Violette Verdy, among others. Furthering her study of the Russian technique, Jennifer trained in Chicago with Dmitri Roudnev (former Bolshoi soloist) at the Roudnev Ballet of Chicago, where she also taught on the faculty. Later moving to New York City, Jennifer studied intensively with teachers Alexander Filipov and Kirill Matveev (formerly of the Kirov). Jennifer has danced professionally with ballet companies in Texas, Chicago, and New York, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the Conservatory at the University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC). For several years she has instructed students of all ages in the art of ballet. Her goal is to utilize the great traditions of the past to help create the great dancers of the future.

The Austin Classical Ballet is a professional performing troupe dedicated to bringing the beauty of classical ballet to the public. Company repertoire is focused on works of a classical nature based on classical ballet technique, though some contemporary works are performed.The company seeks to uphold and promote traditional classical standards, while still exploring new work from the talented choreographers of our time.Though the Austin Classical Ballet is not a student company, students of the Austin School of Classical Ballet are groomed to be company members, and graduates are encouraged to audition.
