Born in 1984.
Always had this urge to move around.
Hyperactive, high-sensitive,...whatever doc.
Despite all the medication, music gave me the strength to keep moving.
It was (and still is!) my natural, belly-floating drug that provided me a brief moment of reflection in the constant chaos of life.
It had the abiltiy to tranquilize my inputs and elevate my spirit to a supernatural ablity of creativity. A mindblowing experience, an unknown force of nature that should be honoured with complete dedication.
Early confrontations with soulful disco, late 80's/begin 90's house and ofcourse Kraftwerk's memorable tunes, made me realise there was more music than your average radioshow. My subconsciousness captured these moments and the quest for the holy beats began.
As technology became more and more advanced during my youth, with hi-tech as a magic word, it was obvious that my body was build for electronic music, sound of the future, sound of the underground.
//1999// I (finally!) found the grail. Laurent Garnier's Flashback & Sound of the Big Babou were the first magical sounds that gave me affirmation of my fantasy. And yes, it was called techno.
Quickly I realized that my treasure wasn't that precious. Too many years went by, tons of great records/dj's were unheard....From this moment on, the passion for this music and it's history became irresistable.
After a few years of exploration and poundin' party's with top-class dj's in world-famous clubs & locations, the true spirit of techno was mine.
Unfortunately the true sound of techno was lost, serving several commercial purposes. In my opinion, techno became too stereotype and the BPM only rose...
But,
Having techno-legend Richie Hawtin's masterpiece 'Closer to the Edit' (2001) still fresh in mind, I was convinced techno had a future worth the past...
Ofcourse there was no time to waste.....my passion for music couldn't be stopped:
Tech-house, detroit techno, funky deep-house, house classics, jazz, ghetto-tech, oldskool electro, soulful hiphop, and also a big interest for south-american rythms & vocals fed my musical needs.
//2005// Bought my first DJ-gear.
//2007// I have a dream.
