Recently formed by professional touring actor Jay McCabe and experienced director/MoD theatre manager Katie Hastings, JK Productions is set to make its mark in the world of educational theatre.
With the belief that learning should be practical and fun, JK Productions have developed a programme of highly educational workshops aimed at primary school children aged 7-10.

JK Productions was set up due to the love of drama that co-founders Jay and Katie both share. Chatting over a pint one evening, they realised that the drama classes they attended in school are responsible for making them the happy, confident people they are today. They went on to discuss how this medium could be put to such a greater use, particularly in primary schools, in order to communicate key subjects such as Science, History and English, in a way which would be fun and keep children engaged and interested.
Our principle aim is to work practicality, teamwork and confidence into "boring" school subjects which usually involve little more than sitting at a desk; we feel that the practical element here is key, particularly in a nation where 1 in 3 children is overweight due to lack of excercise and motivation.
We are currently looking to extend our 2007 bookings programme for primary schools in England, as well as further extend our friends list so that we can become known within the field of education and begin to really make a difference to the way children are being taught.
