Sounds Like: Sounds like our NEW album is almost done!!! We'll keep you updated here, but for the meantime here is some info on our last album:
Lunar Migration is a follow up to the debut self titled EP. It includes uplifted takes on the previous production and plenty of new unheard material. Like a lost dub plate Lee Scratch Perry stole from Jack Ruby, and stashed in a sound system sub woofer. This is the kind of music that even your average math rock shoegazer can step to. Lunar Migration was recorded over many many moons (the past 2 and half years) 15 songs strong this is a record that demonstrates considerable growth in the areas of songwriting and arranging, particularly the horns.
Tracked at the infamous Irie Dog Studios in Bothell, the band clearly benefited from a diligent touring schedule, working around the northwest circuit and beyond. Panda Conspiracy has built a strong and loyal following on college campuses from Bellingham to Portland, where the vibes and lyricism resonate with opened minded, and are reciprocated on the dance floor.
Cover art for Lunar Migration was conceived by the band, and born at the hands of Thomas Hurley III of Pleaseausar fame. Mr. Hurley is a multitalented local artists who’s latest DVD is being produced Comedy Central. The final product is retro blend of modeling where photo shop meets the exacto knife. Imagine a biblical satyr of a world-gone basket case (sound familiar?)
