I finally gave in....return of the Midnight BAT !!! Live & love life to the fullest ! Be yoursel

About Me

I am 56 y/o and refuse to grow up, totally anyway! I am married to my wonderful wife, Donna and we have 7 children and 5 grandchildren. My family is the most important part of my life. I love to listen to music and specifically the Allman Brothers Band. I like to go fishing and camping. I guess my hobbies are working around the house and gardening (which I must admit I have neglected the last few years) Oh yes and one more hobby is the damn computer I am typing on. What and invention! I love my little Honda Civic and my 2 retarded dogs Katie and Sarah. My kids say I am a pain in the ass at tims but they know that my fatherly advice and constant nagging is because I am always right...and they love me anyway! My wife Donna is everything to me (I have to write this 'cause she will read it..jsut kidding) she "is" my everything in life and my life is the better for it. I was in retail management for years but got severly burned out and would up on prescribed meds until I finally said "I can't stand it and I'm not going to take it anymore" and so I walked out on a great paying job but saved my sanity and got off the meds. So you tell me if it was the right thing to do! For me, I found out that money is not everything (close as it affords a lot of things) but making it and the way you make it and what you have to go through to make it...well that is another story! Life is great and I take every day one at a time. I make sure I can "smell the roses along the way" I also like history, world events and am a news junkie, especialy political news. I spent 4 years in the US NAVY and am still very Navy proud today.****************************************************** ***** *********************************************************** A great loss to our family. William Dawson Bernsteel III passed away on Saturday the 17th of February 2007 at 7:30am after a long battle with cancer. He is pictured here with his lovely wife, Jody, on their wedding day several years ago. He was 29 y/o and will be missed greatly by his family and many friends. May he be in God's Graces and may he Rest In Peace ! I'd like to meet:

All the members of the Allman Brothers Band. I have been and ABBsuper fan since 1971. I was in the Navy stationed in Norfolk, Va. when I heard a cover band play "in Memory of Elizabeth Reed". I was taken totally with the instrumental as it told me a story in music. I asked the bartender what the song was and he told me it was In Memory of Elizabeth Reed by the Allman Brothers. The next day I went down to a local record shop and found 2 albums in stock. One was Live at the Fillmore and the other was a bootleg on Bold Records titled Duane and Gregg. I still have those two original ones I bought but they are shot. Played soooooo many times. Since then I have seen the Brothers with different lineups in different venues. My top lineup is the current one with Gregg, Butch, Jaimmo, Warren, Derek, Otiel & Mark....and without a doubt my favorite venue for seeing them is the Beacon Theater in New York City every March. It has become an annual pilgrimage for my wife and I. I have tons and tons of memorabilia and tons and tons of their music. There has and continues to be no other music that grabs me and moves me as the music of the Allman Brothers Band!.!Allman Brothers Band Concert 2007 Beacon Theater NYC World Trade Center Site Work, NYC Subway, Devon Allman of Honeytribe @ BB Kings Club NYCABB Beacon Run 2007 part 2

I have not read many books in my years (hate to read, just hate it) so for a book to captivate my interest, well it must be good. 1. "None Dare Call It Conspiricy" 2. "Franny and Zoey" 3. "A Clockwork Orange" 4. "The Wanting Seed"And my favorite magazine....

Heroes:

To me a true hero is one that treats everyone with respect, is honest, has good morals & ethics and is not full of him or her self. If you think about each of those qualities it is hard to perfect them as this world has so much in it to turn us the other way. But I keep working on it day by day. If I had to come up with one True Hero it would have to be God first and then my parents.
