I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Radio. It's all I've wanted to do since I was a kid in Cranford, NJ, pretending to be like the A.M. DJ's in NYC on a small battery-operated cassette recorder. Dan Ingram, Don Imus, and Wolfman Jack were all heroes to me back in the dim, dead days of the 70's. As a teen, I loved the free-form radio of WNEW, and eventually got on radio myself, on WVRM in Hazlet, NJ, three days a week in the 3-6 pm slot doing a Top-40 show. Fast forward to December 2002. I see a call for help for volunteers to do some studio renovating on the KDHX website. I discovered KDHX several years before, and am a loyal listener, so I heed the call. In 2003 I was given the great privelege of hosting a show which I named "Medication", featuring mostly 80's music with a focus on New Wave, airing Mondays at noon (between the lovely Harriet Shanas' "Folks Of The World", and Anton's "The Pop Life"). Then, in August 2008, with my ideas drying up, I moved to Fridays from 10 to noon for the alt-country/rock/americana program, "Interstate". That's where I stand today. Americana may be the most unappreciated music genre in our country, and that's sad. So here I am to bring it to you, my friend. Spread the word! ******************************************************You can listen to the last 2 shows of Interstate anytime! My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I met them! David Lowery, Johnny Hickman, Frank Funaro, Sal Maida, and Kenny Margolis. CRACKER! They came on the show on May 15, 2009 and did 3 songs. Also went to Blueberry Hill in St. Louis and saw them that night, and helped David's wife hawk Cracker merchandise. It was freakin' great! This one is for Shannon, who is in Afghanistan until Fall 2009:Cracker at Erin-Stock 2009, Troy, Illinois. "Be My Love"
