About Me

What is Flamepoeira? Find out by viewing the project by the talented Kara Delahunt***CLICK TO PLAY VIDEO BELOW!***I named the Gallery/Cafe Flamepoeira: A marriage of Flamenco and Capoeira. I figured that the dance forms originated out of sadness, struggles and slavery when the gypsies in Spain and the African slaves in Brazil invented their dances to give themselves joy and hope when their basic means of life were taken from them. The name is fitting and it holds very special meaning to me. I want it to be a place where I'll always be reminded that through darkness there is light.*****The sun will shine only if you allow it- Dreams die only if you let them. Happiness is a gift you have to find the strength to give yourself.*****Our motto: TREAT YOURSELF WELL! Give yourself 5 minutes to enjoy that cup of coffee, tea... LIFE!*****Flamepoeira, 3 Lewis Street, Boston, MA 02109*****(OPEN) Monday to Sunday: 10 AM -- 7 PM
