Here’s a little bit about our merry band…
Mike Holloway: Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar
With over 12 years of experience and 1000 gigs under his belt at only 28 Mike is already a veteran of the music scene in the Midlands. Taking his influences from greats like Hendrix and Peter Green and more recently Steve Craddock, Mike blends Rock, Blues, Jazz and Pop stylings with consummate ease.
Mike uses Fender, Peavey and Ibanez Guitars and Engl and Mesa Boogie Amplification.
Paul Wright: Bass Guitar
Paul is respected as one of the greatest bass players in the Midlands where he has built a reputation as a diverse and skilled musician and teacher. Though perfectly at home with all styles of music it’s when the beat starts pumping that Paul comes into his own with funky lines that would scare off Detroit’s finest.
Paul uses Fender Guitars and Trace Elliot Amplification.
Marc Swain: Keyboards and Vocals
With over 20 years of playing for various bands and projects, Marc brings not only a wealth of experience but also a great and diverse sound to the band. Pink fluffy keyboards, vintage moogs and his own unique style and humour give The Vans an edge over there counterparts.

Jason Chambers: Drums and Vocals
With Marc, for many years Jason has been the master of the kit for Officially Shropshires most popular band, House of Alice and with this kind of pedigree and his love for new music he is one of the driving forces behind The Vans. Impeccable timing and accuracy and a sound that makes you feel like his kit will explode at any second makes Jason the only choice for The Vans!
