About Me

Hey everyone, I'm Chris, I graduated from Nottingham University last year with a History and Politics degree and decided to spend the last year of my life travelling the globe. It's been the best decision I've ever made and i've been able to see some amazing sights, meet awesome people and learn a lot of stuff bout myself n others. We visited Thailand, Laos, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and both coasts of the USA over 5 months from feb-july. If you ever think about travelling don't question it n just do it cos u gota live not just work all your life! Next up I wanna inter-rail around Europe and visit all 6 continents before im 30! Peru is probably the country I most wanna see at the mo.Apart from travel I can't live without music - it means a lot to me and I'm currently working as a part time journalist for Gigwise.com and Virtual Festivals among others reviewing gigs and cds and doing interviews. I'll listen to plenty from heavy metal to rock, indie, punk, hip hop, pop...whatever really if it sounds good I'll listen to it!I'm quite into my Politics since studying it and understanding the world a bit better n how it works. N sport is always something I follow but I'm all about travel at the mo after my trip...a travel writer would be a sweet job for me now i guess!I've just moved to london, south to be exact in tooting - im now starting a year long course studying to be a newspaper journalist so hopefully in a years time I'll be writing - i've also recently covered Reading festival 2007 and did V Festival 2006 so things are looking up, come say hello MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

Travelling our little globe, Music in all forms, Politics especially the American system, Sport including Football, Cricket and the like, Journalism.

I'd like to meet:

People passionate about music, live gig goers and people into a good mix of music too. Journalists, reviewers, photographers anyone into that sort of stuff. Also anyone who's been travelling or is interested in travel, its one of my main interests at the mo, can't wait to see the world more than what i've seen already!

Music:

Indie, Rock, Metal, Punk, Hip Hop, Pop, Emo - most stuff really. I really respect bands who have longevity and don't just use hype to survive. I also love bands for quite simply being the best at what they do! A few of my faves are: Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro, Bloc Party, Capdown , DJ Format, Get Cape, Glassjaw, Green Day, Hell is for Heroes, Jurassic 5, Kings of Leon, The Libertines, My Chemical Romance, Oasis, Pantera, Rancid, RATM, Reuben, RHCP, Rival Schools, Slipknot, The Streets, Tool n Wolfmother...so there you have it.

Movies:

LOTR, Star wars, Casino, Goodfellas, Goodbye Lenin, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Descent, For a Few Dollars More, Halloween, Downfall, Donnie Darko, Sicko, Fahrenheit 9/11 but i'm not hugely up on my films to be honest.....

Television:

I love comedy like Peep show, Alan Partridge, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, The Office, The Day Today, Brass Eye, Bo selecta, The Simpsons, The Mighty Boosh, Futurama but music tv is cool - live gigs etc. Oh and Lost - so addictive!

Books:

Michael Moore (although he is crazy), Stanley Williams, Bill Bryson, Bill Clinton, Autobiogs of people I respect/interest me
