My wife and kids. My Harley. My guitar. My primary interest beyond these is to minister. Translate that serve. I see things but am seldom able to verbalize them in a way that is considered socially or politically acceptable. I am interested in seeing people achieve their potential................................................... ...........................................................A Mother asked President Bush, "Why did my Child have to die in Iraq?" Another Mother asked President Kennedy, "Why did my Child have to die in Vietnam?" Another Mother asked President Truman, "Why did my Child have to die in Korea? Another Mother asked President F.D. Roosevelt,"Why did my Child have to die at Iwo Jima ?" Another Mother asked President W. Wilson, "Why did my Child have to die on the battlefield of France ?" Yet another Mother asked President Lincoln,"Why did my Child have to die at Gettysburg ?" And yet another Mother asked President G.Washington, "Why did my Child have to die near Valley Forge?" Long, long ago a Mother (Mary) asked, "Heavenly Father, why did my Child have to die on a cross outside of Jerusalem?" All the answers are so near the same.
Just one single person that has their head on right. Anyone that does not have an agenda to fulfill at the expense of others. Anyone that can see through the nonsense of modern thinking to the Truth.
Pretty much anything. From Lou Reed to Randy Stonehill. From Metallica to Caedmons Call. From Michael Knott to Devo. Rap is not music.
I look for spiritual themes and truth in movies. When I find it I often wonder if the producer and director intended it or if it just came out due to the inherent need for truth to be proclaimed.
Basically sucks. I like "House" because I understand the pathos of pain and rejection even in the face of obvious success. It might be tough to be wrong and adored but it's a lot tougher to be right and despised.
LOTR, "The Land" series by Stephan R Donaldson, pretty much anything by C.S. Lewis I'm currently reading/studying "The Four Loves", Bible, Koran.....Oh...a really good one.."Black Elk Speaks", "Stranger in a Strange Land", "Little Big Man", I just finished "The daVinci Code", what a tempest in a teapot. A really mediocre book to say the least.
My kids. They have worked hard to overcome every temptation that I ran to with open arms. They have succeeded where I failed in so many ways. Yeah, they are of the few that I think deserve the status of "hero" to me.
