Gianluca Romano was born in Rome the 13th January 1983. His first contact with music was at the age of 13 playing the bass of a friend, but it was very hard and he understood that he has to play with the left hand. He was young and his favourite hobby was to play soccer as foreward. So he dedicates all his free time at his passion. Some years later he started playing the guitar. He understood to be very lucky because he has some friend that plays very well this instrument so he can learn it fast. Gianluca decided also to go to sing as a tenor in the “Sacra schola cantorum†where he understood for the first time that he really loves music. Gianluca also loves to play the piano. After his father’s death in December 2001, Gianluca starts writing lots of songs and at the moment he is also writing a romance. Thanks to his friend Jean-Claude Matteucci, a very good guitarist, he start recording this demos that will realize his first album, called “Sitting on a Rockâ€. In the album there will be 11 songs and 1 ghost track. Here you can find some of the demo. Now is still working on the second album looking for a producer. In 2005 Gianluca achieve the degree at the University La Sapienza of Rome in “Communication†writing a thesis on “Marketing and production of dance and electronics musicâ€. He is associate at the SIAE as author and composer. He really wants to dedicate all his time to music, but for the moment he tought is better also to continue his study. Maybe one day he will try to play the violin. Now Gianluca is recording by his self the first video of the song I was only joking, that is also the first song he ever wrote. As you can see Gianluca loves all the different kind of expression. Soon you can see him in some clubs of Rome, for some acustic concert. In this page you can find all the news about him.
