About Me

Hi. My name is Matt. I'm a lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama, the Magic City. :) My co-workers call me "Kimbro". (Don't ask, it's a long story.) :)I'm 35 years old and single but looking, sort of. :) I currently work as a waiter for Ruby Tuesday. I've been there on and off for over ten years. The best parts of my job are working with people who are spirited and outgoing and meeting people from all walks of life. In addition to being a waiter, I'm also a college graduate two times over. I have a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mobile and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I'm the most educated waiter in Birmingham. (Not really, but it sure feels like it!) LOL.

My Interests

My hobbies include but are not limited to autograph collecting, listening to my iPod, reading, collecting and watching DVDs, trivia, writing, editing and learning. I love to laugh and those who know me best will tell you that I enjoy making others laugh. As Proverbs says, "A merry heart doeth good like medicine."

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who wants to meet me!

Music:

I like all kinds of music, anything from Kenny Rogers to CCR to Three Dog Night. I listen to classic rock more than anything else, but I'm also a softie who enjoys a good ballad from time to time. Who else do I like? To find out, all you got to do is ask. :)

Movies:

Man, I love so many movies I don't know where to begin. My favorite directors are Ron Howard and John Carpenter, so if you can name a film directed by either of them, chances are I like it. I like the "Halloween" film series as well all of the "V" mini-series. I'm also fond of the "Star Wars" and "Planet of the Apes" films. I like lots of others. You know what to do if you want to know, don't you? :)

Television:

Mostly, I watch DVDs but occasionally I'll catch one of the "Law and Order" shows. I especially like "Criminal Intent". I love "Star Trek" and watch my DVDs from the show all the time. I love documentaries of all kinds. Sometimes I'll just watch "TV Land" and return to a time when my life was simpler. :)

Books:

The greatest book ever given to Man is the Bible. Inspired by God with over 60 authors, it is God's Word to Man showing him the way to the "abundant life" (John 10:10).I used to be a very heavy reader, so I've read lots of books. Like almost everything else about me, I like so many that I can't begin to list them. If you want to know, well, you know! :)

Heroes:

My heroes are people who courageously live their dreams and persevere through hardships and adversity.A hero doesn't have to wear tights and a cape. He/she can be an everyday person who keeps on going with his/her head held high despite overwhelming odds.If you fit the above criteria, you could be one of my heroes! :)
