Smart history as a band began on december 2004, when Martin called Juan and Max to begin a pop music project called "Sindrome Estocolmo". Martin had written 5 songs and the trio began the rehearsals with Matías on drums temporarily until they could find a drummer. The band recorded a basic demo, but months after that, Juan left them. In november 2005, Nicolás joined Martin and Max to continue the project, but this time with a different name: "smart". smart performed acoustic for the first time at SKAL during a friend´s gathering. On march 3rd, 2006, smart performed it's first public concert at The Cavern Club Buenos Aires with Gustavo Goyheneche as invited musician on drums. On july 14th, 2006, now with new material and arrangements of the songs, smart presented again in The Cavern Club. On july 28th, 2006, the band performed an acoustic set at Palermo radio station restaurant and recorded Palermo radio acoustic sessions. On october 2006, Ariel joined the band and on december 2006 smart recorded the "official demo" that you can listen here.
AtYourSpace.com La historia de la banda comenzó por diciembre de 2004, cuando Martin convocó a Juan y Maxi para formar un proyecto que se llamaría Sindrome Estocolmo. Martin había compuesto 5 canciones que empezaron a ensayar junto a Matías hasta que encontraran un baterista. Al tiempo de grabar un primer demo, Juan dejó la banda. En noviembre de 2005 Nicolás se unió al proyecto que había pasado a llamarse SMART. Tocaron en un encuentro de amigos en SKAL con 2 guitarras acústicas y bajo. Pero en enero de 2006 surgió la posibilidad de tocar y con Gustavo Goyheneche en batería comenzaron a ensayar y componer temas nuevos para su primer recital que fue el 3 de marzo de 2006 en The Cavern Club Buenos Aires. El 14 de julio, volvieron a presentarse en The Cavern Club con temas nuevos. Y el 28 de julio hicieron un show acústico en el restaurant de radio Palermo que fue grabado y pasado por radio el mes siguiente. En octubre y después de probar muchos bateristas, Ariel se unió a la banda y en diciembre entraron en el estudio OHM para grabar el demo que están presentando en mySpace.Dadaismo en The Cavern 17/8/2007
