Band Members: Scum Like Us is a free party sound system started by Nick and Twatted Matt based in the Midlands. It grew out of previous sound systems dating back to 1999. In that time the rig changed hands between friends and always ended up in the same lock up. The first official Scum Like Us party was under J16 summer 2002, since then the rig's got bigger and badder and we've got involved in loads of different projects.We regularly team up with rigs such as DMT (Bristol), Havok (Manchester), Tribe of Twat (everywhere), Fucked Right Up (Wales), Out of Order (London), ASBO (London), Turbo Twats (everywhere), Vinyl City Sounds (Coventry) and Acidic (Bristol),Our best Parties over the last couple of years have been at the Welsh Teknival last year where we linked up to make a 60,000 Watt Sound system, ScumTek by the Barking barrier where we linked up 80k on the bank of the River Thames. 2006 has been an eventful year, in late Aug in Gaydon we had a multi-rig party on private land attracting around 1500 people. Earlier in the year we attended another multi-rig party on MOD land in Brecon, again attracting crowds of 2000. As well as our usual local parties.NYE Dec. 31st 2006,check this link:bbc newsNow: As well as doing sound system and lighting hire for events like Underground City (Birmingham), Saucered (Coventry), Hexatek (Birmingham), Toxic City (Birmingham), We alsso run Ear Juice Studios which is based in a community arts workshop.We are terrorising local authorities and venues every where, especially near and around Leamington Spa, from putting a Techno rig on the High St. on Ban The Car Day to getting permission off the local authority to put on Party in the Park on Newbold Commyn once a month over summer for two years, where we put a rig and a marquee on the local common land bbq area and played quality underground music on a Sunday, 12pm to 7pm;)At least Once a month we have a Scum Like Us Party in Leamington at Kellys Inn on Thursday's and Saturday's, and we have one every two month's at the Lock Dock & Barrel next to the canal.After doing Sound System hire for Underground City since it began we have recently started Co-promoting the event at the Custard Factory in Birmingham with Cohesion, Skankadelic, Stimulus, and Deuce to bring you an awesome party where we take over the Whole Custard Factory and bring together local artists, sound systems, DJ's, promoters, top national and international act's over 4 rooms of mayhem.Future Projects: Next summer we plan to take the Scum Like Us Sound system to Europe to FrenchTek near Paris and the Dragon Festival in the Sierra Nevada mountains in Spain. We should be able to lay some foundations to do an extended tour of Europe the following year trekking round to Teknivals and Festivals.Down at the Scum Studio's Pablo and Twatted Matt have enough tracks ready to start a record label now and are working on several other side projects. We have been writing techno with J101, Nihilist (Toxic City) and other people over the last few months and we are forming our own brand of Funky 'Avin It Techno…….
